About Journey In Action Support
Support that moves with you.
Who We Are
Journey In Action Support is a Chatswood-based NDIS provider serving Mandarin- and English-speaking participants across Sydney’s Lower North Shore. We deliver calm, reliable, one-on-one support built on trust, empathy and clear communication — in the language your family is most comfortable with.
Whether your goal is greater independence, smoother daily routines, or simply having someone who genuinely listens, we create a safe and familiar environment where your cultural background and sensory needs are respected, not an afterthought.
Our Mission
To bridge the gap between complex care systems and the people who rely on them. We want your NDIS journey to be less about paperwork and more about people — your goals, your comfort, your community.

Hi, I’m Feng. This is my story:
I took the long way here.
I grew up in China and did what was expected: an engineering degree, then an engineering job. It was a good path — just not mine. In 2013 I left for a working holiday in New Zealand that was supposed to last a year. It lasted a decade.
In that decade I did a bit of everything. My working holiday year was dairy farms, cleaning jobs, waiting tables. Then a diploma, and back into engineering in Christchurch. And in 2019 I walked away from my engineering job to spend a winter teaching skiing in Hokkaido, Japan — then another in Queenstown, New Zealand.
Teaching skiing taught me something no engineering job ever did. Watching a complete beginner — nervous, wobbly, convinced they couldn’t do it — slowly find their balance and make it down the slope at their own pace: their happiness was contagious. I didn’t have a name for it then, but that feeling was a compass.
One day in Queenstown, a fellow instructor asked if I wanted to try skiing blind. He covered my eyes and stood in front of me, guiding me down the mountain with nothing but his voice. I had always assumed vision loss made skiing impossible. It didn’t. With the right guide, the “impossible” was just another run.
That day changed what I believe: most barriers aren’t in the person. They’re in the gap between the person and the right support.
Life moved on. I tried a few ventures of my own that didn’t work out — and learned that surviving failure is a skill too. I went back to engineering, and eventually the work brought me to Australia. Then in late 2024, my role was made redundant. A door closed that I might never have closed myself. When I asked what I actually wanted to do, the answer had been waiting since that mountain in Queenstown.
So I trained, started support work, and founded Journey In Action Support.
Today I work side by side with young adults with disability who have a goal — finishing a course, finding work, moving toward independence — and a system that doesn’t quite fit them. I’m not a tutor, a therapist, or an employment agency. We explore options together. We build routines together. We try new things together. Their goals, their interests, their pace.
I’ve crossed my share of barriers — language, culture, starting over in new countries more than once. I know what it feels like when the path everyone expects isn’t the path that fits. And I know what becomes possible with the right person standing beside you.
I’m the guide on the slope. The skiing is all yours.
